The tax slab rates have been a long debatable topic for salaried employees and have always requested for an upward revision of the tax slab. Last year budget increased the tax slab rates from 1,60,000 to 1,80,000 (1,90,000 for women and 2,50,000 for senior citizens) marginally which was not of much help for individuals. The proposed limit of exemption is 3,00,000 for the coming up budget.
