Bangalore: Nowadays, people are more cautious after fraudsters bagged 13 lakh from 29 Axis bank accounts across India, including the Mumbai police’s salary account.

Infact, the country is witnessing fraud attack on multiple bank accounts including ATM cards and online banking frauds.

There is no use of realizing your mistake after losing all your hard earned money. So, it is always better to look for some easy ways to safeguard your bank account from becoming an easy catch for fraudsters.

“Economic Times” has listed out few ways to protect your bank account.

1. Report to Your Bank Immediately

If you sense any suspicious transaction that has taken place in your account, immediately report it to your bank. The bank will instantly block your account and will take further steps to control the damage that has taken place.

Soon after you inform the bank about the fraud, the bank will start its investigation at the earliest. In case if your bank fails to prove that you as an account holder has not revealed your personal information or password to anybody directly or indirectly, then the bank has to compensate the losses.
