Bharat Vijay is the Founder of Boltell, a startup in the Travel space.Bharat has been a technology veteran in the Internet space participating in the growth of the Internet right from his early days at Yahoo. He completed his Bachelor's from NIT-K, and went on to do his Master's in chip design from University of California, Santa Barbara. He had been programming from the age of 10, having hooked up an old Zilog box to his black & white TV at home. He joined Oracle Corporation in their platform and performance group where he was responsible for deriving maximum database performance from a deep understanding of database internals. He went on to become a columnist for the top database magazine at that time called DBMS. In 1996 he joined Yahoo! as an engineer, building many core components of Yahoo! including their database architecture, replication, publishing systems and products like the Yahoo! directory, Yellow pages, etc. In 1998 he started a new division in Yahoo! that went on to become one of its biggest - how to improve a web product and its revenues from customer data. He set up its data warehousing and data mining groups which today account for 10-20% of its revenues. Ater his return to India in 2000, he started the Y! Development center. In 2004 he set up the Amazon center which was conceptualizing and building e-commerce solutions for the global market.
More than a decade experience architecting and managing a range of systems from mission critical infrastructure server’s to large scale web applications in Yahoo’s advertiser space. Graduate from BITS Pilani and one of the founding members of Alopa Networks before joining Yahoo as an architect in the Advertiser Platforms Group.
Prasanna works on run time platforms (Cloud and On-premise) at OrangeScape - the only 'Cross Cloud' platform for developing business applications that can be deployed on leading cloud infrastructures like Google App Engine, Microsoft Azure, IBM Smart Cloud and Amazon AWS. Prasanna has been with OrangeScape for more than 6 years where he has written rule engines and enterprise middleware which is being used in global companies like Unilever, Pfizer, Astrazeneca and others. He has built and delivered complex business applications on top of OrangeScape platform for companies like Citi. He received his Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California.
Prerana is responsible for Social Media programs and platform initiatives in Rediff.com. She has been the driver of Rediff API transforming the way applications are developed. Prerana has over 10 years of experience in engineering software products and now product marketing and distribution for MyPage. Prior to Rediff.com, she was with FirstRain where she revamped their Mumbai team starting with setting up a new office. She holds a B.E. in Computer Engg. and an executive MBA from S.P.Jain Inst. of Mgmt.
Rajesh has 17+ years of Software R&D experience in building world-class global product organizations, delivering innovative, and successful enterprise software products. Rajesh heads the India Development Center of eBay Inc. Prior joining eBay, he was playing a role of Senior Product Director with Oracle Fusion Middleware R&D Group, He was responsible for many strategic products and tech stack of Oracle Fusion Middleware Suite that includes Enterprise 2.0 and Portals, BI - Enterprise Reporting, Data Integration Platform and Fusion Applications Core Framework. Earlier, Rajesh was working with Siemens AG, Future Software and Lakshmi-Barmag AG. He is a well-known speaker in the areas of enterprise 2.0, grid computing, enterprise architecture, innovation and leadership. He holds a Masters in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Bachelor of Engineering from A.C.Tech, Karaikudi and a management degree from ICFAI. He is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at IIM, Bangalore.
Vishnu Patankar has 12 years of Software Development Experience. He has been at Amazon for about 4 years and has worked on Ordering Systems and Anti-Fraud Technology. Currently, he manages the ecommerce Platform Services in India.
Prior to Amazon, he has worked at Microsoft and Intel (Seattle). Vishnu graduated with a Master’s (Computer Engineering) from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh) in 1998 where the thesis topic was to apply Formal Methods using Symbolic Model Checking and Graph Algorithms.
Siva has over 18 years of experience in the IT field, Key member of the engineering and architecture team that developed the Finacle core banking solution at Infosys. Technical expertise includes Enterprise IT Architecture, J2EE framework, Database design & Performance Engineering
Electronics Engineering graduate from Anna University
He created a banking application development framework in JAVA that would improve productivity by 30percent. Enabled scaling of the Finacle application using parallelization and performance re-engineering. He anchored the development of the patent-pending Appnomic APM solution. Siva is responsible for Technology & IP Development of the company. Siva is an engineering graduate from Anna University and has an excellent understanding of the quality process and procedures and the need to balance it against individual creativity.
