Rajesh Venkateswaran, Product Marketing Manager, MetricStream

Rajesh Venkateswaran represents a growing wave of professionals who are taking their international experience back to India. Rajesh came to the U.S. to get his MBA and gain some valuable work experience. This led him to marketing and business development roles within Banking, IT Services and IT Consulting. These positions brought professional enrichment and financial success but the dynamic, charged-up economic environment in India was too hard to ignore. A recent visit to India confirmed what Rajesh had suspected all along - India is where the action is.

He began to look for a company that would not just offer him a job in India but would help him jumpstart his career there. A fairly intensive job search brought him to MetricStream. Headquartered in California but with key operations in Bangalore, MetricStream offered a cross-functional and international environment. "The responsibilities within the position required me to work across geographies and business functions. The company was ramping up rapidly and I was promised that no two days would be the same and I must say it has been true” says Rajesh.

When asked about his motivation to join MetricStream, he states "MetricStream offered me the opportunity to be part of their global product marketing team while being based out of India. Very few companies can offer that environment”. Within MetricStream, Rajesh is currently working out of the Redwood Shores headquarters for a few months before transitioning to India permanently in the next few months. His specific role within the Product Marketing team is to manage global partnerships with key system integrators. He also manages key marketing and business development initiatives within the company. After moving to India, Rajesh will maintain the same business focus and portfolio of responsibilities.

The excitement, for him, comes from working for a global company on a high-growth trajectory while being deeply engrained in India’s success story.
