K Jaya Kumar - Ariba Technologies India Private Limited.

He has been an entrepreneur, technology professional and a top manager at the strategic level. K. Jaya Kumar is at present the managing director of Ariba Technologies, the software development arm of Ariba Inc., a spend management solutions provider. Jaya has over 19 years of experience in the technology sector. As managing director, he is responsible for providing leadership to the software development, quality assurance and technical support initiatives at Ariba's development center in Bangalore, India. Prior to joining Ariba, Kumar held the multiple portfolios of chief delivery, quality and technology officer at Scandent Group managing over 1000 professionals across India, Asia and the U.S., which was a very challenging phase. He has successfully led development operations at Oracle India and Wipro Technologies. In 1996 Kumar had co-founded Neta an Internet personalization company in the data mining space, which was later, sold to InfoSeek/Walt Disney. He worked with Walt Disney Internet Group as Director of engineering before returning to India. He has majored in electronics engineering from IIT Mumbai and has an MBA from IIM Bangalore majoring in finance. He is an avid reader of the literary works of the gifted Afghan Sufi writer Idries Shah.
