Before he joined SAP 13 years ago, he worked for Accenture and US Army Corps of Engineers. Sudhakar managed global ERP projects at Coca Cola, Valero, Rohm & Haas, Eon Energy and moved onto to HR Strategy, enablement. Sudhakar published his work on talent management, sustainability/safe drinking water and economics focusing on developing countries.

He was conferred the degree for his Doctoral Research on "The organizational and human issues in mergers and acquisitions". Dr. Nair started his career in the engineering field with GEC Alsthom India Limited. Post his Doctoral studies, he had been associated with the Human Resources function in the RPG Group and Wockhardt. Dr. Nair joined Thomas Cook (India) Limited in May 2005. Currently, he is President & Head – Human Resources & Financial Services and is responsible for the Human Resources function in India, Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
