I heard tat one cld opt for the course of his want(Finance, marketing etc.) in a B-school in India only during the second year after the commencement of his MBA study, is that true?? If so, what is the criteria the school wld look upon in order to provide him with his want?? What is the feasibility rate for a candidate to get one??

First of all your question is a bit vague. I suppose ur asking regarding the criteria of stream selection during the course.
It doesn't depends on the Bschool in which u are studying .. it entirely depends on you ... ur progress, interest and activities during the first year.
accordingly you can select the stream of ur choice ...
thr is no such fixed criteria
