GMAT Prep guidance needed
Guys, I am in college and pursuing my engineer's degree. I am currently in 3rd year and have one more year to go. I am planing to go in for my MBA in 2011 session without any work experience. I have been an above average student all my life having scored 71% in my 10th and 71.4% in my 12th. English isn't a problem for me, I scored 87 in my 12th exams(the main year of schooling).I think I will finish with about 68-70% in my bachelor's degree. I have average extra-curricular but i intent to make for in this field in the coming two years. Also, another thing i would like to tell is that I am the Student-Placment Cell Co-ordinator in my college. I am into sports and have some certificates as well. I would like to know what should be my strategy and what are my chances to get into a good B-School. I am basically intrested either in the US or UK. Please help guys. Also tell wether I have started late. Thanks in advance

I think that first you have to search regarding MBA and B schools because planning is important in the life before achieving your targets.

Just attend as many events and seminars because it clears your doubts and helps you to define your path.

1. Finish school.
2. Work for at least two years.
3. During your second year of working, study intensely for the GMAT.
4. Take the GMAT.
5. Apply to schools.

you are in 3rd yr and top crack B schools in US or UK u need a stellar profile . Normally schools like LBS , Stanford GBS , INSEAD France ,CBS require an outstanding profile with minimum 3 to 5yrs of wrk ex . Moreover its not easy to get into institutes without work ex.

I wud suggest you to work for 2 or 3 yrs , prepare well and then crack the hell out of GMAT .

GODSPEED !
