Book review
The Life of Ramakrishna Paramhansa for children is a wonderful way of letting the younger generation know the thoughts and words of one of India’s greatest thinkers and philosophers.

The 20th century saw the emergence of several such outstanding personalities, perhaps the most remarkable of whom was Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa. Born in a poor family and virtually illiterate, Sri Ramakrishna through the sheer dint of his spiritual attainment became a beacon light of inspiration to a whole generation of Bengali intellectuals, as well as attracting to himself a group of brilliant young men led by Swami Vivekananda who carried the message of Vedanta across the world.

The book journeys through the birth and childhood of Ramakrishna Paramhansa, his school days, his marriage, the visions he got, his missions, his famous disciple Swami Vivekananda, his last days, the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Swami Vivekananda attending the Parliament of Religions, etc

The book is written in a wonderfully lucid style and is truly a gift worth treasuring and sharing for all time. Detailed wisdom and refined simplicity define its content, which is a feat in itself. The chapters are intercepted with colored pictures, which makes the book more interesting for young children.
