Book review
Conscience of a Maverick is a collection of articles and discourses of the Indian Maverick, Ram Jethmalani.
For many years Jethmalani has written on law, religion, philosophy, economics and politics.
As a commentary on the state of affairs of the country his articles and speeches invite varied audience in India and abroad.
He spares no one and does not suffer fools. When he feels strongly about an issue, he voices his feelings – be it the article Hindutva on Weak Knees, which is a veiled attack on Ministers under garb of Hindutva, or any other issue, he is all ready for it.
The collection will therefore, titillate and ruffle the non-conformist instincts of the readers who dare to differ!
About the author Ram Jethmalani is one of the most controversial and charismatic personalities in Indian law and politics. Being the former Law Minister and an eminent criminal lawyer himself, Jethmalani has been responsible for landmark judgements such as the Hindutva and the Mandal case. Presently, a member of the Rajya Sabha, he has a long rebellious political career behind him.
