Well I completely agree with Rahul, technology can help in bringing green
environment if we use renewable sources of energy.

Recently, I read an
article in newspaper regarding an Engineer in Bihar who has started a company
"Husk Power Systems" which supplies electricity to villages by generating it
from gases produced by husk which is the outer cover of rice and is usually
not useful for farmers. He considered other resources like wind energy, solar
energy, biofuel but all were relatively costly. Impressed by his effort a
leading company Shell is supporting his company.

Also have you heard about
Green Computing or Green IT which involves manufacturing, design, use and
disposal of computer resources with minimum affect to the
environment.

Efforts like this will definitely help the environment as
there will be lesser pollution which will result into lesser global warming.

Hi Sonam.surely technology can help in bringing green environment.mind that it
was technology that polluted our environment.for bringing our env. back to
normal state, technologies are being developed, such as, for reducing carbon
emissions, researches r going on better design of engines, alternatives of
petroleum such as hydrogen and minimise carbon emissions, chimneys and
purification filters for industrial use, recycling of materials etc.also, the
work on harnessing energy form renewable sources, non conventional sources is
going on.biogas plants r being planted in villages, producing electricity from
solar energy(research is going on semiconductors for making solar cells more
efficient and economical).all these factors are interrelated with each other.
you have to search for alternatives for producing energy.it was d excessive
use of conventional sources of energy that increased the level of pollutants
in our env.for achieving d unpolluted env back, we have 2 minmise dependence
on them
