It has got lot to do, Emotional intelligence is about handling people as per
their moods n situation to get the work done or to bring out d best out of
them.
technical research field involves stressful demanding work, which
ofcourse needs people who can work and handle every situation.

I think there is no links between them as Technology Industry is a business
trends whereas and Emotional intelligence is human behavior or a trait.
