Management interviews are totally different from simple interview. Management
interview requires management skill like Planning, Organising , directing,
controling, motivation, budgeting, staffing etc etc., Good qualities of
leadership, but in simple interview all these are casual interviews & does not
require any professional skill or subject expert skill.

Hi,
Greetings. IMO,the questions here is not complete. If Aswini is referring
to technical interviews as simple interviews, then the answer is - "given a
situation, simple int. will test what you do in the situation and Mgmt will
test how you go about doing what you are expected to do". In the context of a
technical interview in a software major will focus on the solution to a given
problem in the software, mgmt interview on the other hand will analyze how you
use the resource given, time allotted, costs and other related
avenues.

hope this answers. Open to discussions, feedbacks and
comments.

Thanks,
Ade.

Hi Ashwini,

All are beating around the bush. Management interview is how to
act well & test of spontaneity.

Hi ashwini,

Both interviews are same . But in management interview the
board members will be looking for some extra personality in a person like his
managerial capacity,leadership quality,teamwork capability,capability of
building a new team.the person should start a work from zero.etc. In my views
the management interview will be the combination of all these things.

HI Ashwini,
In broad term Interview are same in all fields. But the
Management interviews are very particular like identifying some special
quality like analytical thinking, process based work, leading a team to meet
the organizational goals etc.

In Management one must have the quality of
reading what is there but not
mentioned....
