but Marketing Research is a research which is useful in making decision to
market your product/services

As I see it 'market' refers to the existing demand-supply equation for a given
product/service. Research here may have to do with ways to step your market
share in available space, either by beating your competition or by increasing
market potential - creating demand through ad./marketing.
'Marketing', I
believe, has to do with taking your product to where there was no market for
such product.

The word Market and Marketing may look and sound similar but not very similar
in terms of what they mean.
Market research is to do with the target
segment while Marketing research is to do with how to target the segment.
