Efficiency refer to productivity meaning how fast one can do something.
Effectiveness refer to quality of works meaning how good a person or else
is performing.

Both are co-related and are very much effective in business.
as far as
efficiency is concerned then it is definitely an approach from bottom to top
while effectiveness is top down approach.if management design any policy
effectively then only it can be executed at the lower level efficiently.

Efficiency is being exceptionally good at the task that u are
doing.
Effectiveness involves selecting the best task to do ... and then of
course u can execute the task effeciently.
Doing the wrong tasks
efficiently will take you and your career no where: so choosing the right and
most important task is the key. Brian Tracy asks: "Which one task if u do now
and u do it excellently well will make a major difference to the results that
u receive in life?" Find that task, get yourself to do an excellent, efficient
work wrt that task ... and watch your finances grow.
