THEORY: The multitude of meanings of this term can, at times, confuse a person
but usually the intent is clear from the context. It is quite a liberal term
as far as literal meaning of the term is concerned. Mainly two senses can be
drawn from the term:-
1. With regard to universally applicabile sciences like
maths, physics, chemistry etc. it denotes concepts that are tested and tried
which are reached upon after logical deductions and have few or no
exceptions.
2. For other purposes it denotes the concepts that are far from
being practical.

PHILOSOPHY: The literal meaning of the term is LOVE OF
WISDOM. Generally it is used to represent certain way of life. There are
mainly 4 branches of philosophy:-
1. LOGIC:- It is an attempt to codify the
rules of rationale thoughts in order to extract optimum knowledge from
evidence.
2. EPIDEMIOLOGY:- It is the study of knowledge itself.
3.
METAPHYSICS:- It is the study of nature of things.
4. ETHICS:- It is the
study of right and wrong, good and evil, and the study of finer details of
morals of conduct.
