Bangalore: With the changing time, people's way of thinking is also changing and they are now accepting high-rise residential projects rather than independent flat houses, which were usually preferred in earlier days.

Noida is following the trend of cities like Mumbai and Delhi where high rise buildings are preferred. People of Noida are now open to high rise residential buildings and believe in the concept the bigger the better. Considering this fact developers are now cashing on high-rise residential projects, which are gaining popularity among people in NCR region, reports Economic Times.

The high-rise residential buildings have proved to be beneficial as they offer less polluted and noise-free environment besides luxury facilities.  In addition, high-rise residential compensate with land paucity.

For Instance, Assotech Builders in Noida are coming up with 35-storeyed residential project which is over 121 metre high. Moreover another group, Supertech are coming up with North India’s first high-rise residential building called North Eye in sector 74, the height of the building will be 255m tall followed by Supernova in sector-94, another high-rise building of 300m. However, the same group has launched a 50-storeyed residential building in sector-74 called ORB.

R.K Arora, the chief managing director of Supertech stated that “In all these projects we provide a high-end shopping complex, cafeteria, lobbies, a club house, multi-cuisine restaurants, international-level pub, gym, pool table, cigar rooms, indoor lounge for reading and relaxation, sauna and spa. In North-Eye, we also provide a unique experience by setting up an observatory which will give 360 degrees view of the whole project,” reports Economic Times.

Rajeev Rai, the chief operating officer of Assotech cited that “In Northern India, people hold land very close to their heart and would like to stay close to it than going upwards but the attitude has changed after people have started understanding the benefits of living on higher floors. Higher floors let one enjoy the scenic beauty around the building. For instance, from the top of Assotech Celeste Europa and Celeste Corona one can see the beautiful expanse of Botanical Garden,” reports ET.

Pankaj Bajaj, the CREDAI NCR president, stated that “Cost increases in a high-rise as they have to be equipped with several amenities, which are not required in a low-rise or mid-rise construction.”
