India's Most Expensive Residential Localities

Bangalore:  Some of the localities are incredibly expensive, and buying a residential property in such localities only remains a dream for many.  Ever wondered what makes these properties in such localities so expensive? Well it’s not just the location, adding to it are the elite personalities who reside in such localities and add value to the locality. TOI recently conducted a study and came up with a list of India’s richest localities and roads based on the net worth of the billionaires living on them, reports Partha Sinha of TNN.

Aurangzeb Road, Delhi

Delhi, the capital city of India is the home for many billionaires. And Aurangzeb road is one of the prominent roads in Lutyen’s Delhi, which is in close vicinity to race course road near to Prime Minister’s residence. This is one of the posh and expensive localities in Delhi since high net worth individuals reside here who have raised the margin of property rates in this area. Some of the well-known personalities who reside in this locality, are the steel tycoon L.N. Mittal, DLF’s K.P. Singh, Jindals, Analjit Singh of Max India group, Malvinder Singh and Shivinder Singh of Religare, Ravi Jaipuria of Pepsi and Atul punj of Punj Lloyd.  The total assets of these people it comes upto rs2.2 lakh crore which makes Aurangzeb’s road the most expensive street in Delhi. The residential property price here is rs1.40 lakh per square feet for an apartment.
