What was your introduction to Flash? How did you come to choose Flash as
your platform of choice? Does print design or web design (apart from
Flash) ever tempt you?
My introduction to flash happened at the design institute. I studied at Srishti School of art, design and technology. It was during a course that was a basic introduction to animation, after which I found that it was the easiest tool to animate storybooks that I had been illustrating
What is the most inspiring Flash game and/or cartoon you've seen recently?
Polar Bear Payback - http://games.adultswim.com/polar-bear-payback-action-online-game.html
What new challenge does flash animation for broadcast represents?
No idea, because broadcast is not my field. But in terms of web the new challenges are 3d, and integration with social networks
Where do you think Flash is headed and would you say that this is the
right direction?
Flash is heading towards dynamic web content websites that rely heavily on programming in AS3 which is not as easy to pick up as AS2 wad. People like me who are more visually inclined and used to AS2, are finding it very difficult to adapt to these changes. Earlier I could do an entire web project on my own, but now that is no longer possible, and I have to work with a team of programmers.
What made you choose Flash as a way of displaying? How has it helped
you accomplish your web site objectives?
It is the best way to showcase your cutting edge skills, and the most effective way to create engaging interactive experiences online right now. I work almost exclusively with flash when it comes to the web for this same reason.
Do you find that your clients tend to be informed about Flash and web
technologies, or is there some amount of "client education" that you
have to perform?
Most clients tend to be well informed. However a few do have concerns about integrating Google analytics with a flash site, tracking users etc. thankfully these are no longer an issue with flash sites.
